EndoLab® adapt hip joint simulator for testing a Carpometacarpal (CMC) joint replacement
March, 2021.
InDx Project consortium partners EndoLab published an article on their company website detailing an advancement in biomechanical testing standards through the adaptation of an existing hip joint simulator to test the InDx CMC joint replacement implant.
EndoLab are leading the development of testing standards and protocols for the mechanical testing of CMC joint prostheses, which currently do not exist. In collaboration with Loci Orthopaedics, EndoLab have established specific test protocols as part of the implant performance testing to demonstrate that the InDx implant is able to withstand physiological forces that it will be subjected to after implantation in the thumb base joint.
This development of new testing standards is a great example of the scientific impact of the collaborative efforts of the InDx Project consortium.
